1. Acceptance & Overview

Welcome to ResumeBuilder ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Use constitute a single, legally binding agreement that incorporates both our Service Terms and our Privacy Policy.

By creating an account, accessing, or using ResumeBuilder on web or mobile, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Account Security

You must be at least 13 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use this Service.

When registering, you agree to provide truthful and accurate information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

All visual layouts, resume design templates, color palettes, fonts, source code, graphics, branding, and software mechanisms are the proprietary intellectual property of ResumeBuilder.

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive license to export resumes using our templates for personal career use. You may not extract, resell, sublicense, or distribute our design templates to build a competing service.

5. Privacy & Data Protection (Integrated)

We value your privacy and handle your personal data in accordance with modern security standards:

• Data Collected: Account details (name, email) and resume data (contact info, work experience, education, skills, and projects).
• How Data is Used: Exclusively to authenticate you, persist and sync your resumes, render print/PDF exports, and provide customer support.
• Secure Cloud Storage: We leverage industry-leading Google Firebase infrastructure (Authentication & Cloud Firestore) with encrypted transmission (SSL/TLS).
• Zero Data Selling: We do NOT sell, rent, broker, or monetize your resume data or personal information to third-party advertisers, recruiters, or data brokers.
• Data Retention & Deletion: You can edit or delete individual resumes at any time. When you delete a resume or request account deletion, your data is permanently expunged from our active database.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you must not:

• Deploy automated bots, spiders, or scrapers to access the Service without express permission.
• Interfere with, compromise, or disrupt server infrastructure or network security.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying source code.
• Upload false, deceptive, defamatory, or unlawful materials.

7. Indemnification (Zero Company Liability for Content)

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ResumeBuilder, its founders, affiliates, and operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or legal expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from: (a) your User Content; (b) any breach of employer confidentiality or NDAs caused by your resume text; or (c) your violation of these Terms of Use.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While our templates are designed in accordance with standard Applicant Tracking System (ATS) readability practices, ResumeBuilder does not guarantee interview callbacks, job offers, or employment placement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ResumeBuilder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of employment opportunities, profits, or data.

9. Account Termination & Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or compromise platform safety, at our sole discretion without prior notice.

We may update these Terms of Use periodically. When updates occur, the "Effective Date" and version number will be revised. Continued use of ResumeBuilder after modifications implies acceptance of the revised Terms.
